Who I Work With

I work with adults who are thoughtful, responsible, and often carry a great deal for others. Many of my clients are professionals, caregivers, helpers, or individuals navigating life transitions while managing anxiety, trauma, grief, depression, or identity stress. While life may look stable on the outside, they often feel overwhelmed or disconnected internally.

I also work with adult couples who care deeply about their relationship and are seeking thoughtful, grounded support. Many couples are navigating life transitions, stress, trauma, or emotional disconnection and want a space that honors complexity, values, and lived experience. Couples therapy focuses on understanding relational patterns, rebuilding emotional safety, and reconnecting with intention—without assigning blame or forcing change.

Many of the individuals and couples I work with value reflection, personal growth, and therapy that integrates evidence-based care with spirituality. I am especially attentive to supporting people of color and those navigating cultural, faith-based, or intergenerational dynamics with care and respect.

If you’re seeking a calm, collaborative space where you can show up as you are and move at a pace that feels right, this may be a supportive place to begin.

About Grysell Fabaro, LMSW

I’m Grysell (Gri-sel) Fabaro, LMSW, a licensed therapist in private practice. I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, burnout, identity stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions. My approach is trauma-informed, integrative, and collaborative, drawing from evidence-based practices while honoring the whole person—mind, body, culture, and spirit.

I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and EMDR. My work integrates these approaches with mindfulness and holistic health perspectives to support emotional regulation, healing from trauma, and healthier relationships.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over three decades working in mortgage and real estate. While that work was meaningful, my path eventually led me toward mental health through volunteering and community involvement. That transition shaped how I understand stress, responsibility, and identity shifts—not as failures, but as meaningful turning points that often invite reflection and growth.

As a Muslim Latina, I bring a culturally responsive and spiritually respectful lens to my work. I am especially attentive to how culture, faith, family roles, and lived experience shape the ways people experience stress, healing, and connection. Therapy is not about erasing these parts of you, but about integrating them with care and intention.

My goal is to offer a steady, supportive space where you feel deeply seen and respected, and where healing unfolds at a pace that feels grounded and right for you.

A Supportive Beginning

Mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and disconnection are common and deeply human. They can show up as fatigue, feeling overwhelmed, lost, or disengaged. While these experiences can feel heavy, they are not permanent. With support, it is possible to develop coping strategies, understand yourself more deeply, build resilience, reconnect with purpose, and strengthen meaningful relationships.

Therapy is a process of self-discovery and growth—one that can help you move beyond simply surviving toward living with greater intention and fulfillment. Seeking support is not a sign of weakness, but of care and courage.

Above all, my goal is to offer a safe, steady space where you feel supported and empowered to navigate life’s challenges with resilience, confidence, and a sense of purpose. I am here to support you on your journey toward healing, growth, and personal fulfillment.
